Carmel High School Library
Carmel Unified School District retained Wald, Ruhnke & Dost Architects to provide architectural services for the design of the new Carmel High School Library.
The library was designed with 18-foot high, open wood-beamed ceilings and a glass wall, providing a panoramic view and allowing for abundant natural lighting. The library includes a classroom, a computer lab with a SMART Board interactive whiteboard, a media room, and a seating area for reading periodicals, all to provide the integration of technology into the educational experience of the students. The exterior of the building was designed to integrate with the existing campus structures.
